Bare Knuckle: Fight Club

You fight for money in car parks and pub back rooms. There are no gloves, no rounds and no referee, so nothing stops a fight except one man staying down or saying he is done. Every punch you throw damages the hand that threw it, which means the punch that wins the fight is usually the punch that breaks your hand.

One fight is one session, four to six minutes. Between fights you pick the next bout off the circuit board and spend the purse on your hands, your corner or your debts. The career runs from a car park to a pub back room to a travellers' field to a sanctioned promotion, and it runs for hours if you let it.

What's in it

• Bare fists: every punch damages your hand as well as his face
• Damaged hands hit softer and hurt to throw, and a broken one is career damage
• No rounds and no referee. It ends when one man will not stand up
• Dirty is the ruleset, not a cheat. No suspicion meter, no disqualification
• The crowd is the meter, and it pays: a short violent win is worth more than an ugly grinding one
• A career that ends in a body, not a belt. Hands, eyes and memory all keep score
• English. Plays offline, no account.

The itch.io version

• No ads. No in-app purchases. The full game, once.
• Second chance (replay a lost bout, once per bout), the scout (one fighter's stats, once per board) and the recovery meal (once between bouts) are free buttons.
• The Google Play version's "Backer Payday" (+$1,000 per video) is not in this version: free and unlimited it would skip the money game.

Installing

• This is an Android APK. Download it on your phone, open it, and allow installs from your browser or file manager when Android asks.
• It installs next to the Google Play version and keeps its own save.
