A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

You think you know what colour a ripe banana is. Or a stop sign, a tennis ball, the sky at noon. Now mix it from memory with nothing to look at, and find out.

Color Recall gives you a name and an orb. Drag around the orb and set the lightness until the colour looks right, lock it in, and the real thing appears next to yours with a score. Most people are further off than they expect. That is the fun part.

What's in it

  • Ten prompts a day, new every day, the same for everyone
  • Nearly 300 things to remember the colour of: fruit, flags, animals, weather, sports gear, famous shades and more
  • Scoring by how the eye sees difference, not just by numbers
  • Free play when the daily is done, and yesterday's ten if you missed it
  • Streaks and a spoiler-free share grid
  • English. Plays offline, no account.

Controls (PC)

  • Mouse: drag on the orb, slide the lightness bar, click Lock it in.
  • Esc: back
  • F11: fullscreen

The itch.io version

  • No ads. No in-app purchases. The full game, once.
  • Warmer / colder (two a day), the second swatch and yesterday's ten are free buttons.
  • A portrait 9:16 window that fits a 1080p screen and can be resized.

Names of products and characters appear only to identify a colour. No logos or artwork are shown.
