Junction Stories: Railway Tycoon

The old line closed years ago. Junction Stories is a calm railway management game about bringing it back: lay track between towns, run trains on a timetable, and watch the valley's communities change as your service becomes something they can rely on.

Connect stations with straight track, curves and passing junctions, place signal blocks so trains never collide, and choose the rolling stock, departure interval and fares for each service day. Keep fuel stocked and the fleet maintained, add freight terminals for mixed services, and plan passing routes before your network gets busy. As connections prove reliable, every town tells its story: forty short chapters of gardeners, bakers, students and lighthouse keepers.

Controls (PC)

• Mouse: click tiles to build and inspect, drag the valley to pan, mouse wheel to zoom. Right-click stops placing.
• Space: pause / resume. Enter: start the service day, then continue after its report. 1 / 2 / 3: speed.
• B build, O operations, R research, J journal, H how to play, F fit the view, + / − zoom.
• Esc: close a panel, or open Settings.

The itch.io version

• No ads. No in-app purchases. The full game, once.
• The mobile version's optional "sponsor bonus" after a service day is not in this version. Everything else is the same game, and the once-a-day recovery grant is still there if funds run low.
• A 1280x800 window that fits a 1080p screen and can be resized.
