Stonewheel: 90s Skate Life
It's the 90s. There are ten Slamjamboree Legends wrestling figures, and Chad Bradley's dad is already buying three of everything.
Stonewheel is a life sim on the outside and a skate game on the inside. Live your days in town: school, chores, allowance, the corner store, the arcade. Then grab your board and skate sick lines across six spots to earn cred, win contests and hunt down every figure.
Features
- 50 named tricks: kickflips, heelflips, impossibles, varials, double and triple flips, 9 grabs, 12 grinds and slides (the darkslide family too), and manuals to stitch it all into one line
- You learn tricks from the town: buy Rat a cola, beat Vex's score challenges, trade with Spike, out-score the arcade Wizard, even Chad teaches you slides once you beat him
- Six skate spots: the suburbs, the schoolyard, a muddy construction site, the drainage canals, the mall after hours and the old SLAMCO toy factory
- Ten figures, ten different ways to get them: shelf finds, secret areas, contests, a three-way trade chain, an arcade high score, mail-order, a rival showdown, a timed mall run, pure domestic discipline and one golden finale
- A day and week clock, random daily events, energy, cred and heat (Officer Doug is watching)
- An in-game trick book with every input on 5 pages, and an EASY TRICKS assist that is on by default
- A CRT filter, chiptune music and synth sound, all made in code
- Keyboard or gamepad
- No ads. No in-app purchases.
Controls (keyboard)
- Town: arrows walk, X hops on or off the board, Up uses doors and people, F opens your figures, Enter advances talk, Backspace closes menus
- Skating: Left/Right push, Down crouches, Space ollies (hold for higher), X + a direction flips, C + a direction grabs, B opens the trick book, Q ends a session
- Esc pauses. F2 toggles the CRT filter, F3 the music. F11 toggles fullscreen in the desktop build.
Try it first: the browser demo on this page plays the first four days (Monday to Thursday). Going to bed on Thursday night ends the demo. The full game has no limit.
Linux: unzip and run stonewheel.sh.
