The House: Casino Tycoon

The house always wins. You decide by how much, who notices, and who carries the loss.

A twelve-night career on the floor of a worn off-Strip casino in 1977. You manage the house. You never place a bet of your own.

Set the floor. Before the doors open you set the edge on blackjack, roulette and the slot bank. Every dial shows its legal line in red. Crossing it earns more tonight and leaves a paper trail.

Run the night. Then the shift runs and it does not pause. Incidents come in while you are still reading the last one: a leak over the high-limit table, a kid who has won eleven hands, a dealer who smiles too much. For each one you choose where the scarce security eye goes, who handles it (Vincent, Gloria, Sal or Tommy), how hard, and what they do, before the clock decides for you.

Sign the receipt. Every night ends with the closing sheet: the bank, the heat you carry into tomorrow, the witnesses, and the name of the person who carried the loss. Every corrupt act involving a person creates a witness. The gaming commission audits on a schedule, and the bigger you get, the harder it looks.

This game simulates running a crooked casino: rigged odds, corrupt staff, barred customers and a gaming commission. There is no real-money gambling, the player never places a personal wager, and nothing can be won or cashed out.
