Ward Zero

The official report says everything is under control. Your ward tells another story. As shift lead of the last quarantine ward, assign beds, staff and fictional supplies, keep your team from burning out, and decide how much truth to send upstairs.

How to play

• Each wave, new cases arrive. Give each one the staff and supplies it needs; isolate the ones marked ◇. Ready cases glow mint.
• Resolve the wave: ready cases are stabilized, the rest worsen. Linked cases spread to the beds beside them.
• Between shifts, choose a shift lead and spend research on ward improvements.
• At the end of every shift the company asks for a cleaner report. Report the truth, or alter the figures.

Controls (PC)

• Mouse: click the cases and the buttons.
• Planning: Q / E change the shift lead, Left / Right browse improvements, U unlocks, Enter opens the ward.
• On the ward: 1-6 or Tab pick a case, Right / Left staff + / −, Up / Down supply + / −, I isolates, Enter resolves the wave.
• Report: 1 the truth, 2 the altered report. Esc: pause / close a panel. Closing the window saves your shift.

The itch.io version

• No ads. No in-app purchases. The full game, once.
• The mobile version's optional videos are free helpers here, each once per run (not in the daily): a reserve staff token, 4 setup supplies, and revealing one latent case risk. A run that uses one is marked assisted and does not set your best score.
• "Double research credits" from the mobile version is not in this one.
• A 480x960 window that fits a 1080p screen and can be resized.
